We're thrilled to welcome back Set Mo to play the sold out The Island LIVE with Touch Sensitive on April 11. On the back of selling out their second Stamina Session at Oxford Art Factory, we can't wait to party with the boys as they play the closing set of our summer Island series.
UC: You’re about to wrap up your ‘Never Ending Summer Tour’… what have been some of the highlights?
SM: The Stamina Session is Sydney was a massive vibe, such a great crowd and energy on the night. Not one we’ll be forgetting any time soon. There have also been a couple of great festivals we’ve played down in Victoria; Let Go Fest and For The Love where we shared the bill with some friends and both were super fun.
UC: Have there been 3 songs that have summed up your summer?
SM: There’s been way more than three! But here are three of our favs that have been in our sets and all begin with the letter Y. Yewwwwww
You Give Me Love (Volkoder Remix) – Poolclvb
Yuwa – Fishing
Yeah – Set Mo (Yeah)
UC: You’ll be making an unprecedented fourth appearance at The Island LIVE soon, what’s been your fave moment over the years?
SM: Last year we played with Motez on Stu’s birthday and everyone was in the most festive mood (including/especially us) and special shoutout to the lighting director – The Essential Stix.
UC: Tell us a bit more about the concept behind ‘Stamina Session’, your club night that has sold out dancefloor at the Civic and Oxford Art Factory?
SM: It kinda stemmed from when we were touring last year and started playing longer and longer sets at some of our favourite clubs. We wanted to take that concept and start doing it where we had full control. The night is basically a warm up DJ and then we come on a play the rest of the night. We play for a minimum of 4 hours but the last two have been closer to five.
UC: Are their any plans for another Stamina sesh anytime soon?
SM: You bet there are, guess you’ll just have to stay tuned.
UC: We LOVE the video to ‘See Right Through Me’. How long did it take you to get the choreography together?
SM: We learnt the whole routine the day before we filmed it, which was kinda crazy!
UC: Do you find yourselves dancing the routine at home?!
SM: Often. ;)
The dress code for the big Island LIVE finale is “TROPICOOL”. What will you be wearing?
We hate dressing up…
