Purple Sneakers - 'Ten Years of Taste'
UNDR Ctrl & FBi Click presents
Purple Sneakers - "Ten Years of Taste" Tour
It’s been ten years since PURPLE SNEAKERS came onto the Australian music scene. In that time we have become a voice that is trusted for taste. And so, we are celebrating with the TEN YEARS OF TASTE national tour.
You might have first encountered Purple Sneakers at one of our now infamous club nights – where you might have first seen artists like Disclosure, Rufus, Flume, Alison Wonderland, Mark Ronson, What So Not, The Rubens or Ratatat play before they broke. Or maybe you listen to our weekly radio show on Sydney’s FBi Click – where we’ve had guests like Odesza, Eats Everything, Digitalism, 2 Bears, Aeroplane, Baio (Vampire Weekend), and The Juan Maclean. Or maybe you’ve encountered us as nationally touring DJs. And you’ve, of course, read our niche music blog.
After an incredible tenth birthday party as part of VIVID in June this year, curating our own stage at Secret Garden Festival, a fifth appearance at Splendour in the Grass, and a showcase of emerging club music at Sydney’s King Street Crawl just recently, we are now excited to bring the celebrations to the rest of the country too.
Teaming up with agency UNDR Ctrl, and acting as ambassadors for Sydney’s electronic music focussed digital radio station FBi Click our guys Purple Sneakers DJs will be bringing their brand of tasteful club music to a capital city near you very soon as part of the "Tne Years of Taste" national tour!
Made up of DJ/producers Gabe Gleeson (one half of electronic duo Indian Summer), founder Martin Novosel, and their radio co-host / producer Nick Luke (aka Moonbase Commander), Purple Sneakers DJs have toured the globe and performed at just about every Australian festival there is. Earlier this year Purple Sneakers DJs took us on a curated journey of the last ten years of emerging club music with the Ten Years of Taste Mixes.
Now Purple Sneakers DJs are proud to bring #tenyearsoftaste on the road for the whole country to dance to. Set to play a tasteful selection of some of the best dance tracks over the past decade, this will be a walk (or should we say “dance”) down memory lane you won’t soon forget!
