Holding it down at triple j, Shantan Wantan Ichiban is the presenter of our National broadcaster’s Friday House Party. Following in the footsteps of DJs like Nina Las Vegas, KLP and Ebony Boadu, each week Shantan brings a wide-ranging mix of club heaters to hundreds of thousands of listeners. In the primetime slot of 6pm on a Friday, he is the country's bringer of the weekend, getting Australia on the dance floor with his superb music selection and microphone presence. 

Similarly as a DJ, Shantan has proved to be one of the most versatile on the circuit. He has created some of Sydney’s most successful party nights across a large spread of genres. Through brands such as ‘Dutty Dancing’, ‘Mad Ting’, and ‘Silk Pyjamas’, he has built a reputation for fun parties turning even the darkest and dankest of rooms into a ‘queue-around-the-corner’ nightclub. 

Shantan’s gift to put together energetic sets across different genres has made him one of Sydney’s most sought after DJs. He can be found playing clubs all around the country, as well as festivals like Splendour In Grass, Spilt Milk, Groovin The Moo and Lost Paradise. His sets never fail to get the dancefloor heaving with a good vibe mix which touches everything from Spicy Hip Hop Edits to Disco Mash-Ups to Bumping House to Hypnotic Afro-Caribbean rhythms with a pinch of Jungle Flavour. 

In addition, Shantan has recently started putting out a handful of remixes and original music productions. His recent collaboration with Arona Mane and DancingWater is a vibrant Neo-Soul meets Drum & Bass groover, which has accumulated over 300k Spotify streams.
