BAG RAIDERS

Bag Raiders are true icons of the Australian dance scene. After releasing a slew of cult underground cuts (Fun Punch, Turbo Love, Big Fun), Jack Glass and Chris Stracey signed to dance-powerhouse Modular Records and dropped their self-titled debut album in 2010. With that, the game changed forever. The LP debuted at No. 7 on the ARIA Album Chart, earning nominations for ‘Best Dance Release’ (ARIA), ‘Australian Album of the Year’ (Triple J Awards), and ‘Dance Work of the Year’ (APRA). It featured smash singles Way Back Home, Sunlight, Snake Charmer, and of course the festival anthem Shooting Stars – now considered one of the biggest Australian dance tracks of all time.

Shooting Stars became a global phenomenon — amassing over 4 billion streams, 40+ Platinum and 7 Gold certifications worldwide, peaking at No. 11 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and pulling in 18 million Shazams and counting. The track has delivered a cultural impact beyond anyone’s wildest expectations, breaking-the-internet a gazillion times through a series of iconic memes. In 2021, Bag Raiders paid homage to the original “man jumping off bridge” meme by creating an exclusive NFT, with proceeds supporting Support Act and Musicians Making a Difference.

Following their breakout success, the duo kept the momentum rolling with a string of acclaimed EPs — Waterfalls, Checkmate, and Friend Inside, while teaming up with soul-star Mayer Hawthorne on Beat Me to the Punch. Their second album Horizons arrived in 2019, delivering streaming faves How Long and Lightning.

In 2022, they launched their own label, Broken Head Records — marking a return to their club roots with the Love Me Back EP and double A-side Right Here / Saliba.

In 2023, global pop icon Troye Sivan sampled Shooting Stars on his smash hit Got Me Started, which earned nominations at the 67th Grammy Awards (Best Dance Pop Recording), the ARIA Awards (Song of the Year), and the APRA Awards (Most Performed Australian Work and Most Performed Pop Work). Bag Raiders followed up with an official remix that slapped so hard, Troye used their version to open his live show on his monster global tour (with Charli xcx). Cue another major milestone with ‘Shooting Stars’ cracking the Top 50 Most Shazamed Songs in the world.

Original music continued to flow with two standout collaborations via Future Classic: the euphoric house heater SAVE ME with French producer Boston Bun, and the introspective, slow-burning gem Flowers with Panama.

Since day one, Bag Raiders have toured relentlessly — bringing their dynamic live show and euphoric DJ sets to every corner of the globe. From 30-date North American bus tours to European, Asian, and South American adventures, they’ve sold out tours year after year across Australia, supported legends like Duran Duran and Chic/Nile Rodgers in stadiums, and played to massive festival crowds at Ultra Music Festival, Splendour in the Grass, CRSSD, Bestival, Lovebox, TomorrowWorld, EDC Mexico, Parklife, Melt, and Beyond the Valley. From the over-ground plays to the underground raves, they’ve always kept one foot in the club and one eye on the future — with DJ sets across the world, livestreams for Mixmag, and remixes for luminaries like Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Banks, Riton, PNAU, The Jungle Giants, and Crooked Colours.

In 2025 and beyond, Bag Raiders are locked in for a relentless release schedule of club weapons — kicking off with Hold Me, forthcoming on UK label The Cross Records.
