LOOSIE GRIND
Loosie Grind, who spends her time across Sydney/Eora and Melbourne/Naarm, has rapidly made noise and become one of Australia's electronic ones to watch. By name, by nature, she is a lover of a loose vocal and sounds that grind ever so slightly against the beat.
It’s been a strong 2025 so far, with her first single of the year ‘I Like’ reaching pre-release virality. In January, Loosie Grind was the number one online trending electronic aus artist on social media, earmarking her spot as one of Aus dance music’s next darlings to be. The release itself had her atop of 6 playlists in Apple music, including Dance XL & New in Dance.
Her follow up single, ‘First Class,’ released June 18th, fed into the driving confidence that made ‘I like’ so enjoyable, and then took it up a level. It landed her on Spotify’s Dance Generation and New Dance Beats.
Collaboratively, she lended vocals on FOVOS’ single ‘Freak In Me,’ which is already at 2.5million+ on Spotify, and ‘Our House;’ where she earned an editorial cover spot on Spotify’s 'New Dance Beats’ alongside KLP & Mell Hall.
Now comes “FKN” — a NSFW dance heater Loosie Grind describes as “an unapologetic ode togoing against the grain — a celebration of breaking free from expectations and living life on your own terms.” Diving into the chaotic, liberating process of self-discovery, she adds: “If I’d listened to the noise around me, I wouldn’t be here making music — ‘FKN’ is the sound of freedom, rebellion, and becoming your unapologetic self.”
A true Aries in spirit, Loosie Grind quickly picked up production skills during COVID and wasted no time independently releasing singles. After a swift triple signing to label, management and agency, she wasted no time in 2023, debuting on Club Sweat with heaters ‘Get What I want’ and ‘Aries,’ earning premieres on Triple J’s Home & Hosed and adds to Spotify playlists Fresh Dance Finds, Operator & New Dance Beats.
Since then, Loosie Grind has made strong debuts on the festival circuit aswell as local and national clubs; finding her home within the queer club community in the process; She’s performed at Heaps Gay, G!RLTHING and was hand-picked to DJ at Troye Sivan’s Club Rush afterparty. Her live sets, a vocal heavy, booty shaking fluid blend of house and tech, was taken to a whole new level when she rounded out the year with supporting slots at festivals Beyond The Valley, Wildlands & Tropical fruits festival. This year, she’s a main stage act at Beyond The Valley, and supporting Hannah Laing in Sydney in December.
